Commercially available pickleball paddles are easy to find on the internet as well as in some sporting goods store. There are many types of paddles made from a variety of materials. The heaviest paddles are made from plywood and are relatively inexpensive. In general, the lighter more "high-tech" paddles are costlier, but provide better play performance. Your final selection is mostly a matter of personal preference. The Bella Vista pickleball club has paddles for trial and most members would be more than willing to let you try theirs. It might be worth while to try several paddles before making a final choice. If you plan to play pickleball on a regular basis, it is advisable to purchase your own paddle. You can expect to pay $30-50.00 maximum for a very high quality paddle. A couple of different style paddles are shown below.
